Walking Langdon Hill
Langdon hill is only a mile or so from Fernhill and is an amazing place to walk for an hour, or as a base to walk to Golden Cap. Strolling along the tree shaded path with the sound of the wind tickling the leaves on the trees makes it one of the most calming places on a day
At 191m above sea level, Golden Cap is the highest point on the South Coast of England with superb views in all directions, towards Lyme Bay & Dartmoor to the West and Portland to the East.
Maintained by the National Trust the mile walk around the hill is perfect for a Sunday stroll with amazing views. The longer walks either up to Golden Cap or across to Seatown are more challenging – although Seatown has the Anchor which provides a great lunch and refreshments after all that exercise!
